JAMES WALPOLE – ACCOUNT MANAGER

I came to Prospect Research from a background in both Sales and Film Journalism; two very different areas but which both continue to directly influence my working day. My sales training gave me the underpinning communication skills which I’ve since developed into the ability to manage and carry out telephone campaigns for clients. The journalism taught me to write to an expected standard, to deadlines and within the stylistic and linguistic expectations set by a client. These are key skills when writing reports for client’s who have engaged us to carry out Market Research services.

Over the two years I’ve spent with the company I have progressed from Account Executive to Account Manager, but what is particularly meaningful to me is how I’ve also taken on a considerable amount of Market Research work. This was an area which I knew very little about 24 months ago but my interest grew and Prospect Research allowed me to dip my toes in before then supporting me as my excitement grew. I’m now undergoing training with the Market Research Society and love how flexible my working life has become; splitting my responsibilities between running lead generation campaigns and conducting Market Research.
